However unintentional, we now know what the featured musical onboard Royal Caribbean's newest, groundbreaking ship will be.

News began to swirl on twitter that Icon of the Seas would have The Wizard of Oz as its flagship entertainment piece when it launches in January of 2024. Royal Caribbean Entertainment posted that it was beginning auditions soon for performers for roles in the musical onboard Icon of the Seas.

Since 2009, Royal Caribbean has added popular musicals to each of its new-build ships. Currently, its arsenal of shows includes Mamma Mia!, Grease, Cats, Hairspray, and We Will Rock You.

Royal Caribbean's Senior Vice President/Creator-in-Chief Nick Weir seemed to confirm the rumors on social media when he tweeted an image of The Wizard of Oz poster.

Launching in 2024, Icon of the Seas will be the largest cruise ship in the world and trumping even the mind-blowing size and features of its predecessor Oasis class sister ships within the Royal Caribbean fleet.

CruiseNReview will be traveling on Icon of the Seas' third-ever sailing in February of 2024 and will bring you plenty of coverage on the new vessel.

In the meantime, we will continue to track and update you on the latest features announced for the future world's largest cruise ship.
