A Walt Disney World fan favorite will be temporarily closing next month, the company announced on its website recently.
Rumors of a rebrand have swirled for Rock 'n' Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith after the band's lead singer faced multiple allegations of sexual assault. The announcement by Disney has further fueled the speculation that Aerosmith's run as the face of the popular launch coaster may be coming to an end.
Disney World's website states that ride will begin renovation and be unavailable starting February 20, 2023. The park expects Rock 'n' Roller Coaster to re-open by Summer. The short closure indicates that a significant overhaul of the ride isn't likely but changes could certainly be coming.
While it's unlikely we will know for sure what exactly a potential rebrand could hold for the nearly 25 year old rollercoaster, some on social media have speculated that Queen could be the next group that takes guests on a wild limo ride to a VIP concert experience.
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith was completed in 1999 and is housed in Disney's Hollywood Studios park in Orlando, Florida.
